Brian Maracle is an award-winning writer and a Mohawk, originally from the Six Nations Grand River Territory near Brantford, Ontario. During the 1970s he worked for Indian organizations at the local, as a print and broadcast journalist specializing in native issues. He is a former host of the CBC Radio program, Our Native Land, and a former reporter for the Globe and Mail.
